Through a statement, the Attorney General’s Office warned about the terrible infrastructure of several educational institutions in the capital of Huila. In turn, the Public Ministry confirmed that it requested a report from the Neiva Mayor’s Office with the efforts to address the intervention needs.

“Given the poor conditions of the infrastructure of several educational institutions in Neiva, the Attorney General’s Office asked Germán Casagua, municipal mayor, for a report with the efforts to address the priority intervention needs in five official schools that, presumably, “They would be located in a disaster risk zone,” says the statement from the Attorney General’s Office.

In turn, the Public Ministry filed a specific case: the main headquarters of the Roberto Durán Alvira school. “The control entity referred to the recent report carried out by the Municipal Council Commission, which describes the serious conditions of the educational facilities, especially the Roberto Durán Alvira secondary main headquarters, of which it is mentioned that there is a judicial ruling “that orders their relocation as soon as possible,” the writing adds.

“In order to guarantee the integrity and well-being of the educational community, the president must inform the Attorney General’s Office of the measures that the administration will implement for the José Eustasio Rivera educational institutions, Ciudad Jardín headquarters; Higher Normal School, Motilón headquarters; Juan de Cabrera, Sur Oriental headquarters and Chapinero, Lebanon headquarters, which, as indicated in the aforementioned document, are located in a declared risk area.”concludes the statement from the Attorney General’s Office.
