The National Police is investigating the possible disappearance of three rifles at the Minca Police Station, a rural district of Santa Marta. The situation was discovered during a routine check of the armory, revealing a shortage in the weapons inventory.

Colonel Jorge Bernal, commander of the Santa Marta Metropolitan Police, confirmed that during the inventory carried out at the jurisdiction’s police stations, the lack of three rifles was detected at the Minca station. “At the moment the rifles have not been found, but we are reviewing and searching to discard them. Agents from the Criminal Investigation Section Units (Sijín) are already investigating what happened and in the next few hours we will be providing more details to Samarian citizens.“Colonel Bernal explained.

The authorities have intensified the search and investigation to determine the whereabouts of the weapons and clarify the circumstances of their disappearance. The loss of weapons of this nature is a serious concern for public safety, and all necessary measures are being taken to resolve the case quickly and transparently.
