Pilot plan for legalization of properties in Valledupar

In the Social Interest Housing and Urban Reform Fund of Valledupar (FONVISOCIAL) in conjunction with the Government of Cesar and the Mayor’s Office of Valledupar, progress is being made in the Pilot Project for Legalization of Human Settlement of Illegal Origin in Colombia, (AHOI) after a follow-up table with the Ministry of Housing, City and Territory.

In this important meeting, the progress of the project was evaluated, strategies for its continuity were defined, and the commitment of all the entities involved to achieve its execution was reaffirmed.

The Pilot Project for Legalization of Human Settlement of Illegal Origin is a pioneering initiative that seeks to transform the lives of thousands of families living in precarious conditions in Valledupar. Through this project, these families will be given the opportunity to access ownership of their properties, basic public services and better housing conditions.

The entities participating in the monitoring table were satisfied with the progress of the project and reiterated their commitment to working together.

“At Fonvisocial we are convinced that this project represents a historic opportunity to open the path to legality for many families who are settled in these territories and thereby promote the social and economic development of the region,” said Richard López, Secretary of Planning. “We continue to work with passion and dedication to make this project a reality,” concluded the official.

In Valledupar we seek to transform the lives of thousands of families who live in precarious conditions.
