STPS relaunches “My First Job” program

Secretary Nestor Garza announced that more than 50 companies will participate and recruit young personnel this holiday season.

Nestor Eduardo Garza Álvarez, head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (STPS) of San Luis Potosí, presented the relaunch of the “My First Job” program, aimed at young people who want to obtain work experience and take advantage of the vacation period to get employed.

The Secretary of Labor announced that In the relaunch of this initiative, it is intended that this program has a presence throughout the Potosí entity, with the participation of more than 50 companies of different fields, who will provide training and all the legal benefits to those interested in a vacancy.

“We are working from the Altiplano from the Matehuala office, in the Middle zone from the Rioverde office, in the northern Huasteca from the Ciudad Valles office and the southern huasteca from the offices in Tamazunchale and with our links in the municipality of Xilitla” .

Garza Álvarez highlighted that some of the vacancies are intended for people of working age (15 to 17 years), as long as there is authorization from a parental figure and prior inspection by the STPS to guarantee that said work can be carried out safely.


The “My First Job” program will feature more than a thousand vacancies in around fifty work centers.
