This Wednesday a meeting was held at the Ministry of Transportation regarding the intervention of the Los Libertadores Route, with the participation of the minister, William Camargo Triana, the National Institute of Roads – Invías, the Governor of Boyacá Carlos Amaya, the delegates of the Governors of Casanare and Arauca, community leaders and mayors of Chita, Socotá, Socha and La Salina.

During the meeting it was concluded that progress is being made in the process of advancing the future validity periods from 2029 to 2025.

The need to install a scale to prevent oversized loads was also raised, which are already damaging a recently installed temporary metal bridge and causing other trauma to the road.

“One of the main requests we made to the national government was to be very rigorous with the contractor of the Ruta de los Libertadores, so that the works progress at a better pace and the historical debt with our sister departments that gave it can be settled. freedom to Colombia,” said Amaya.

As a delegate of Governor César Ortiz Zorro, the Secretary of Departmental Infrastructure, Álvaro Luis Rivera, attended, who was optimistic about the progress that points to the rehabilitation of the road that connects the departments of Casanare, Boyacá and Arauca.
