The Government of the State of San Luis Potosí, through the Ministry of Culture, with the objective of disseminating a diversified and quality cultural offer and publicizing the artistic heritage of our state, invites the population of Potosí to participate in the First Exhibition National Danzón of the Montoya Academies, from Friday, June 28 to Sunday, June 30, free admission.
Among the welcome activities there will be the special participation of José Casquera’s Danzonera, which will take place in the Prof. Juan Miranda Parras Auditorium on June 28, starting at 6:00 p.m. Also on June 28 and 29 there will be a Dance Workshop by maestro Alan García and a Workshop taught by maestro Xóchitl and Félix Rentería, at 11:00 a.m., in the Patio Zaragoza and in the “Jesús García Corona” Railway Museum, respectively.
Other activities that make up the program of this exhibition at the Railway Museum will take place on Saturday, June 29, with the participation of groups from different parts of the Mexican Republic, first at 3:00 p.m., with Felipe’s Danzonera Urban and second, at 5:00 p.m., with José Casquera’s Danzonera.
To conclude this artistic-cultural event, on Sunday, June 30, starting at 3:00 p.m., the closing of this First National Danzón Meeting will take place, where the International Danzonera of Felipe Urban and groups from different parts of the Mexican Republic, in the traditional Garden of San Francisco.
