One of the lines reaches urban schools with independent sections in the capital and 10 localities. The other line strengthens initial literacy from an intercultural perspective, aimed at rural schools and multigrade schools.
Within this framework, work was carried out with 112 educational units in the capital and the interior, holding meetings with directors and teachers and specialists in the subject of literacy.
The purpose is to jointly foresee what is expected at different times in the remainder of 2024 in relation to the learning of 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students.
Around 2,000 teachers participated in these meetings.
The action is carried out through a team from the Secretariat of Educational Planning and Professional Development and the General Directorate of Primary Education.
The program has 28 professionals who accompany and tour the schools included in the line of strengthening initial literacy. In this way, in addition to the training, which has already been given to directors and supervisors, teachers in the classrooms have the accompaniment and support of these 28 profiles who act as counselors and guides in the field.
It is worth mentioning that literacy is the key to the acquisition of knowledge, interpersonal skills, experience and know-how.
