CARACAS, Venezuela- To remember the legacy of Ernesto Guevara, a broad day of celebration was held in Venezuela, attended by Aleida Guevara March, daughter of the man of ideas and action, who would turn 96 on June 14.
Among the activities, the Ernesto Che Guevara Plaza was inaugurated, at the National Institute of Training and Social Education (INCES), where a statue of the Heroic Guerrilla was also unveiled, which the Cuban ambassador to Bolivarian land, Dagoberto Rodríguez Barrera, described as ” “a space for meeting and reflecting on what this internationalist symbol means for the future of Latin America.”
“Venezuela and Cuba mean the unity and extraordinary fight of Latin America for social justice, which is what Che lived, fought and died for,” remarked the daughter of the Heroic Guerrilla.
As part of the tour of the South American nation, Aleida Guevara March exchanged with a representation of the collaborators of the Cuban social missions in this country, visited the Dr. Salvador Allende Latin American School of Medicine and held work meetings with the Venezuela Parliamentary Friendship Group -Cuba of the National Assembly.
