In a work articulated between the Cúcuta Metropolitan Police and the Attorney General’s Office, a man accused of counterfeiting Colombian currency was captured. According to research, This person created counterfeit bills in the denominations of 5,000, 10,000 and 20,000 pesos.

“In the search and seizure procedures, the capture of a citizen is achieved and is linked to an investigative process with which more captures can be achieved,” said the Colonel William Quintero Salazar, commander of the Metropolitan Police of Cúcuta.

During the raid, the seizure of two compressed air pistols, parts of a traumatic pistol, a revolver, USB flash drives, cell phones and printers. Electronic elements that were configured for the production of counterfeit currency.

The officer added that “it is important to highlight that This result contributes to preventing citizens in general from being victims of this type of transfer with counterfeit currency. thereby avoiding any impact on their assets.”

The man and the seized items were left at the disposal of the competent authority.
