A serious accident was reported by the authorities on the road that leads from Quibdó to Istmina, near the Rancherías Bridge.
According to what was known, a public service bus, affiliated with the Arauca company, fell into a ravine; however, the road accident did not leave any people dead, but nine people were injured, two of them apparently seriously.
“A traffic accident has occurred on the Quibdó-Istmina road, near the Rancherías Bridge, involving the fall of an Expreso Arauca bus into the ravine and preliminarily leaving nine (9) injured. Fortunately, no one has died.”Governor Córdoba detailed in her official account on the social network X.
Likewise, the governor indicated that “Caution is recommended when traveling on this road, especially in the most dangerous sections.”
Likewise, it was learned that the injured were taken to healthcare centers to examine the severity of their injuries and receive treatment. However, fortunately, the road accident did not cause any deaths.
On the other hand, the authorities have not specified how many people were on board the bus. Likewise, they are carrying out the respective investigation to determine the possible causes that led to the vehicle leaving the road and ending up in the ravine.
It is therefore important to respect the speed limits and for those behind the wheel, especially public service vehicles, to maneuver with caution.
