Five municipalities in the Atlantic will be left without water due to power suspension

The municipalities without water will be: Baranoa, Polonuevo, Sabanagrande, Santo Tomás and Palmar de Varela.

“Although the company Triple A de Barranquilla SAESP has backup generators for electric power, they do not have the capacity to handle power outages with the frequency estimated by the company Air-e SAS ESP,” the sanitation, water and sewerage administrator assures in a press release.

Given this situation, Triple A is inviting local mayors to reach agreements with Air-e to avoid the suspension of both services or their default, implement contingency measures in view of the time when the Atlantic people will be without water.
