The journalist Patricia Ramírez González She was shot to death this Wednesday afternoon in Colima, the state Attorney General’s Office confirmed.
The attack against the entertainment reporter, also known as Patty Bunburyoccurred this Wednesday afternoon in a food business of which she was the owner.
“The FGE “is working on various lines of investigation related to the findings and test data collected so far,” the prosecutor’s office detailed in a statement posted on social networks.
The authorities explained that none of the lines of investigation they are working on so far “are related to her duties as an entertainment reporter.”
This is the second attack on a journalist recorded this week.
On Tuesday night, the death of Mauricio Cruz Solís, director of a native digital media outlet in Michoacán, was recorded in an armed attack, in which another person was injured.
The Michoacán Prosecutor’s Office reported that it has already opened an investigation folder into the events that occurred in Uruapan, after the journalist made a live broadcast through his social networks.
The media outlet where he worked, MinutoXMinuto Michoacán, mourned the death in a message on its Facebook page, where you can see the journalist’s last live video broadcast minutes before he died.
Mexico is listed as one of the deadliest countries for journalists by press freedom groups.
