A gas leak reported in a closed restaurant in the San Quintín district led units from the Fire Department to verify the premises’ gas installations.
The events occurred after a notice through the Radio Central about a gas leak in a restaurant located on Ninth Street in the San Quintín Fractionation, which motivated the rapid intervention of fire personnel.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters carried out a thorough inspection, accessing the roof of the establishment to check the condition of the stationary tank. After a thorough inspection, it was determined that there was no gas leak, resulting in a false alarm.
THERE WAS NO LEAK
The fire team carried out a complete evaluation of the business facilities, ensuring the safety of the owners of nearby premises and confirming that there was no LP gas leak.
Rolando Rojo, Fire Director, highlighted the importance of carrying out periodic checks on gas installations, both in businesses and homes, to prevent risks.
“We recommend that the community, if they smell gas or activate warning detectors, immediately call 911 so that the department can intervene and avoid more serious situations,” he commented.
