The prosecution was demanding a six-year prison sentence for the man, who maintained his innocence at trial.

The Palma Court has Man acquitted of sexually abusing his underage daughter for yearsspecifically from the age of 8 to 15, when the young woman decided to leave home. The prosecution requested six years in prison for the defendantwhich was defended in court by attorney Francisca Serveraand compensation of 10,000 euros for the injured party.

The ruling, to which Ultima Hora has had access, maintains that after the evidence presented at the hearing, the statement of the injured party “does not have sufficient reliability to overturn the presumption of innocence.” The Court also noted that it noted “a certain lack of internal incoherence in the young woman’s story.”

During the trial, held last April, the girl She told the court that she was subjected to regular touching. by her father from 2007 to 2014, when she decided to leave home. She also explained that she filed a complaint seven years later so that the same thing would not happen to her younger siblings.

The defendant, for his part, repeatedly insisted on his innocence and blamed his daughter’s behaviour on “economic interests”. The girl’s mother, and wife of the accused, said she never saw any touching. The rest of the family members who testified as witnesses also expressed themselves in the same way. The ruling is not final and can be appealed to the High Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands.
