“San Lorenzo handled the Reali issue very badly, they cheated us,” said Daniel Vila.

Although it seemed that the transfer of Matías Reali from Independiente Rivadavia de Mendoza to San Lorenzo, where there was a medical examination and presentation of the player in the blue and red shirt, was going well, yesterday a major conflict broke out between the two clubs after a very strong accusation from the president of the Mendoza team.

Daniel Vila spoke on Radio La Red and accused Cuervo of a scam in the purchase of the player who came up through the youth ranks of Gimnasia. Vila stated that after this the sale is down, and explained: “San Lorenzo handled the Reali issue very badly, they scammed us. They sent us a fake transfer certificate and the money they said they had sent was never credited. At this moment the operation is down.”

Expanding on his statements, the president of Lepra commented: “The operation was on Friday when San Lorenzo had to pay part in cash and part by transfer. On Monday we went to the bank to see if the transfer had been credited and it was not there, nor was it there on Tuesday.”

Finally, he clarified: “We proceeded first to terminate the contract with San Lorenzo, to notify the player that he had to be present tomorrow in Córdoba for the Independiente Rivadavia preseason. We also notified AFA and filed a complaint because we were defrauded in good faith.”

So far, Boedo has not spoken publicly about this to clarify the issue. Yesterday, Diego Romagnoli’s team lost 2-0 in a friendly in Montevideo (where they are doing the preseason) against Progreso and Reali was part of the starting team.
