Commission for the Search for Persons locates clandestine graves in Zacatepec

*The exhumation work is still pending, so that the number of individuals can be determined*

The Commission for the Search for Persons of the state of Morelos carried out field work in the town of Tetelpa, municipality of Zacatepec, where clandestine graves were located, so the corresponding protocols were immediately activated for the protection of the area and the appropriate survey by the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).

At this time, we are waiting for the exhumation work to be completed so that the number of individuals can be determined.

Also participating were members of the Collective Union of Resilient Families in Search of their Missing Hearts, the State Attorney General’s Office, investigative agents from the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Forced Disappearances in the Southern Zone, the State Security Commission (CES) and the Canine Unit, the Rescue and Medical Emergency Squad (ERUM), the National Guard (GN) and the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena).

The above, with the purpose of providing a specialized response to the demand of the citizens, was confirmed by Wendy Ruiz Ramírez, head of the aforementioned commission, who also pointed out that, “with firm and permanent actions, the state Executive is committed to the families to always act with sensitivity, respect and closeness in order to provide tangible results, which is part of what is established in the Law on the Search for Persons for the State of Morelos, as well as the Homologated Search Protocol.”

Finally, he stated that the Commission for the Search for Persons will continue to carry out these actions, prioritizing the search for those alive.
