Channel 10 News.- A man identified as Juan Manuel “N” was arrested by the Municipal Secretariat of Citizen Security (SMSC) of Cancun, accused of trying to sexually abuse a woman while performing internet maintenance service at her home.

The incident occurred when the victim, who was alone at home, requested maintenance services. During the visit, the technician took advantage of the situation to try to rape her.

The intervention of the neighbours, alerted by the woman’s cries for help, was crucial in thwarting the attack. They quickly came to the victim’s aid and notified the authorities.

Upon arriving at the scene, the officers interviewed the victim, who recounted what had happened and pointed directly to the alleged aggressor. Thanks to her testimony and the intervention of the neighbors, the officers were able to proceed with the arrest of Juan Manuel “N”, who was still at the crime scene.

The detainee was placed at the disposal of the relevant authorities so that the relevant legal proceedings can be initiated.
