At an extraordinary meeting of the board of directors of the Medellín Metro, the members announced that the company is working with insurance companies to guarantee coverage for those affected by the cable car accident. In the meantime, the Metro will provide assistance to mitigate the needs of the affected users and families.

In the last few hours, it was also announced that the UPB Faculty of Law’s Conciliation Center was available to support and advise those affected.

Meanwhile, tests continue to determine the cause of the accident.

“In this accompaniment we also explained how the company is covered through policies to carry out the recognition of the families and the affected people and also how we are going to accompany these families in an additional way with a timely recognition before making the decisions to deliver the compensations, likewise we were able to explain to the board how the investigations are going, what are the accompaniments of the academy and even the Aerocivil to find the root cause of this problem,” said Tomás Elejalde, manager of the Medellín Metro.
