A violent armed robbery affected the attendants of the COPEC service center located on the corner of Quechereguas Avenue and Pastor Garrido Street, in the municipality of Molina, after 9:30 p.m. this Friday, where the criminals took about 250 thousand pesos in cash, and the wallet of one of the robbed workers. According to the victims, the criminal group composed of three people, were traveling in a white utility truck (baker type), with a striking black hood.

According to the people in charge of supplying fuel to customers, two men armed with firearms got out of a Citroën Berlingo van without license plates, and whose driver remained at the wheel, ready to escape, at all times.

At the time of going to press, the perpetrators of this violent crime had not been arrested or identified. The crime is being investigated under the classification of robbery with intimidation by the Maule Prosecutor’s Office. It is known that the perpetrators and their driver escaped in the direction of Lontué, since a witness who tried to follow them lost sight of them near the María Auxiliadora School.

Sources from VLN Radio said that 87 thousand pesos were stolen from one of the workers, while 170 thousand pesos and his wallet with personal identification documents were stolen from his colleague.

The images captured by the security cameras at the fuel outlet will be key in trying to identify the criminals who attacked the service center located a few meters from the Molina Multipurpose High School.
