Alert and evacuation in an industry in Rio Grande

It happened this Friday night when a blackout occurred in a large sector of the city of Río Grande, the main consumer of electricity in the city being the plastics company, Río Chico, on Malvinas and San Lorenzo streets.

The blackout forced the plant’s generators to be activated, generating a dense column of smoke that alarmed the staff, initiating an evacuation protocol.

Volunteer firefighters arrived at the scene, where it was finally confirmed that there was no fire, and productive work resumed normally after the building was ventilated.
