The National Police arrested a man of about 62 years old as the alleged perpetrator of the death of his partner, aged 50, in the Malaga municipality of Antequera, according to sources close to the investigation confirmed to Europa Press. The National Police officers became aware of the events at around 9:15 p.m. this past Friday, when they received a call in the 091 room. The woman was found in a plot of land near her home, in a ditch in the Partido Alto area of ​​the aforementioned Malaga town. Apparently, according to police sources, a neighbour tried to revive the deceased, without success. After activating the protocol, the judicial authority saw signs of asphyxiation due to suffocation. However, the autopsy report is still awaited.

The man was arrested for allegedly suffocating his partner. The investigation is still open to fully clarify the events. For his part, the mayor of Antequera, Manuel Barón, confirmed the murder of the woman, which occurred in a disseminated area of ​​Vega de Antequera. According to the mayor, in a message on social networks, “everything points to a motive of violence against the woman.” Neither of them was in the Viogén system.
