Gómez Palacio, Durango (OEM).- The System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) requests the population to report any incident that violates the rights of older adults, as well as the omission of care, violence or abandonment, through anonymous or direct reporting.

Brenda Calderón Carrete, director of the Municipal DIF, announced that, following instructions from the municipal president Leticia Herrera Ale, all attention is provided to this segment of the population. The agency serves elderly people in vulnerable situations and guarantees respect for their rights.

He pointed out that for the DIF, it is essential that the general population knows the rights that the law guarantees to this sector of the population, and that have to do with equality and non-discrimination based on age.
