Following an operation carried out by the Ertzaintza and the Spanish National Police, three people have been arrested on charges of burglary.

The Ertzaintza and the National Police of Malaga and Alicante have arrested three people accused of burglaries in a number of homes throughout Spain.

According to the Basque Department of Security, the detainees have committed the crimes in numerous locations, in more than 70 buildings, some of them in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Durango or Pamplona.

The Ertzaintza and the National Police pursued two suspects, but a third person was also arrested, who was involved in storing and distributing the stolen material.

Two men aged 28 and 46 were arrested in Fuengirola, while the third person involved, aged 28, was already in prison in Picassent for other reasons.

The agents searched the homes of the detainees and seized a large amount of stolen material: jewellery, mobile phones, electronics, etc. They also found 16,950 euros in cash.
