One of the most popular ways to consume turmeric is through a delicious and comforting latte, which, according to Telva, is made by mixing warm, unsweetened almond or coconut milk with a teaspoon of turmeric powder, a pinch of pepper and a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil.

This drink is not only delicious, but it also takes advantage of the properties of turmeric to stimulate the metabolism and help reduce abdominal inflammation.

Golden milk

Another well-known option is the famous “golden milk.” This is prepared by heating 500 milliliters of coconut, oat or almond milk in a pot with a cinnamon stick, two cloves, a fresh cardamom, peppercorns and five grams of fresh ginger.

This drink is heated over low heat and, before it boils, five grams of ground turmeric are added and left to cook for another five minutes. Golden milk is comforting and combines the anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric with the digestive and soothing benefits of the spices.

Dietician and nutritionist Sandra Moñino explained to Telva that by simply boiling a little water with cinnamon stick, lemon zest, a slice of ginger, turmeric and a pinch of black pepper you can obtain an infusion capable of completely reducing abdominal inflammation.
