Madrid – The Ministry of Labour is once again meeting with social partners at the negotiating table to reduce working hours, with the presentation of a new Government proposal to try to bring employers’ associations closer to an agreement.




Madrid – The Bank of Spain has this week completed its first month without the Government having elected a governor, following the end of Pablo Hernández de Cos’ mandate, which forced the deputy governor, Margarita Delgado, to temporarily take over the reins of the institution.




Madrid – The first electric car with a removable battery made in Spain has come onto the market. This is an urban nanocar from Acciona that will be sold for around 10,000 euros and can reach 45 kilometres per hour, although in its dual-battery version it can reach 85 km/h.




Paris – Financial markets, which had suffered losses due to fears of an absolute majority victory for the far-right RN, have regained optimism after the first round of voting, and are reacting to the final results of the French elections.




Asunción – Paraguay is hosting the biannual summit of heads of state of Mercosur and associated states, where it will hand over the rotating presidency of the bloc to Uruguay.
