Dialogue to promote health policies that integrate innovation and sustainability. This is the main objective of the conference promoted by Boehringer Ingelheim, which was attended by the PERTE Commissioner for Cutting-Edge Health, Raquel Yotti, and the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Universities, Juan Cruz Cigudosa. During the conference, experts from all sectors and institutional representatives agreed on the need to address cross-cutting health policies to jointly seek innovative and sustainable initiatives based on science. One of the highlights was the importance of intersectoral collaboration, as well as a holistic approach to prevention to improve human, animal and environmental health. Two round tables allowed experts to discuss the challenges of health in the 21st century, highlighting the need for a robust national strategy that includes surveillance, research and education to combat antimicrobial resistance. Mental health, social determinants and animal-assisted therapies were also emphasized.
