Playa Chica or Pila de la Barrilla had to be closed to swimming after a marine platform collapsed. The incident occurred at around 5.30pm, when divers working in the area gave the warning.

This Sunday, the Civil Protection of Tías, the Boluntis, Emerlan and two Emerlan rescue vehicles provided service, in addition to the intervention of the beach lifeguard.

This Monday, Emerlan and Boluntis divers will approach the site to dive again and find out the state of the detached platform. They are also waiting for the environment department to locate a geologist to verify its status with the images that have been taken.
