SANTIAGO, July 8 (Reuters) – Chile’s central bank is expected to keep its monetary policy rate (TPM) at 5.75 percent at its meeting in late July, a survey of central bank traders showed on Monday.

The benchmark interest rate would reach 5.0% in 12 months.

In June, the agency cut the rate to 5.75%, in line with expectations.

Consumer prices are expected to rise by 0.6% in July, bringing inflation to 3.6% over the next 12 months, at the upper end of the Central Bank’s tolerance range.

The Chilean peso will be trading at 930 units per dollar in seven days and 925 in 28 days, according to traders. (Reporting by Fabián Andrés Cambero)
