On Wall Street, the Dow Jones gains 0.42 percent to 39,540.04 points; Nasdaq adds 0.14 percent to 18,378.13 units; and the S&P 500 added 0.12 percent, to stand at 5,572.30 points.

Meanwhile, following the results of the parliamentary elections in France, the CAC 40 registered a decline of 0.47 percent, at 7,640.97 points, in London the FTSE 100 fell 0.03 percent to 8,201.92 points, while the DAX in Germany rose 0.14 percent, adding 0.15 percent to 18,489.65 points and the IBEX 35 in Spain, which hovered around 11,031 points, increasing 0.07 percent.

“Initially, risk appetite may be supported by the election results in France, where far-left and right-wing parties fell short of a parliamentary majority. On the other hand, sentiment could be limited ahead of the Fed chairman’s appearances before Congress, inflation figures and the start of the corporate earnings season in the United States,” CIBanco analysts say.

Meanwhile, at a local level, both stock markets registered positive variations by showing increases of 0.40 percent, at 52,544.99 points for the S&P/BMV IPC of the Mexican stock exchange (BMV) and the FTSE-BIVA of the Institutional Stock Exchange adds 0.15 percent with 1,074.04 units.

On the international oil market, the prices of both contracts are trading at a loss. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is down 0.59 percent, at 82.67 dollars per barrel, and the Brent benchmark is down 0.42 percent, at 86.18 greenbacks per barrel.
