The Attorney General’s Office requested information from Colpensiones about the actions and administrative, technological and operational changes implemented by that entity for the entry into operation of the new pension model in the country.

The Attorney General’s Office requested clarifications on the management and updating of the operating system, on which the processes of recognition and payment of economic benefits and other obligations of that entity.

”In this regard, Colpensiones must report the times of acquisition, migration and adjustment of the current system to address the transition presented by the change of model. “What improvements in technological infrastructure have you implemented to go from managing the information of 6.5 million to 25 million members?” he asks.

He also raised questions about the ability of technology platforms to support the current volume of operation and the need to upgrade and expand its capabilities to respond to new demands.

Additionally, he inquired about the number of petitions, complaints, claims and requests still unanswered, requests for recognition of economic benefits, rulings on loss of work capacity to be resolved and the number of sentences pending compliance by this entity, among other aspects.

Colpensiones must submit the information requested by the Attorney General’s Office along with the schedule established by that entity for the implementation of the new pension model, within a period of no more than 10 days.
