Through a statement, the Ecuadorian Radio Broadcasting Association (AER) announced that the National Assembly requested the right to reply after the interview that President Daniel Noboa gave on radio this Monday, July 8. Sucre and in which he “referred to the legislature and its members.”

“The schedule is from 07:30 and the fraternal radio Forever (92.5 FM) will be the parent station, the interviewer will be our colleague Washington Delgado López,” said the AER.

In the interview on Monday, the president pointed directly at the National Assembly and spoke about alleged political pacts behind it, attempts to complicate his administration and protection of former President Rafael Correa.

After his statements, the president of the Legislature, Henry Kronfle, came out to respond and said that he is obliged to do so in the face of so many lies and that “The new politics cannot be the old politics of lies.”

Kronfle said that now it turns out that the National Assembly, which was the Government’s best ally when it needed approval of urgent economic projects, trade agreements, and unanimous political support given in the face of the internal armed conflict, where the Assembly participated and supported in a forceful manner, including supporting law enforcement, the Armed Forces and the National Police, it turns out that this work in the National Assembly no longer counts.
