The second presentation of Artistic and Cultural Expressions was held

OAXACA, Oaxaca. (sucedióenoaxaca.com/ via PRESS RELEASE).- The Alameda de León was filled with color, music and dance with the second presentation of the Artistic and Cultural Expressions program, in which seven Oaxacan delegations shared their culture and traditions to announce the celebration of Guelaguetza 2024.

The activity organized by the Secretariat of Interculturality, Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Peoples and Communities (SIPCIA), began at 5:00 p.m. with a party that left from the Temple of the Ex Marquesado and ended at Doctor Aurelio Valdivieso Street.

Before hundreds of local, national and international spectators, the head of SIPCIA, Berta Ruth Arreola Ruiz, pointed out that this program – which is part of the activities of July, Guelaguetza Month – is a celebration of and for the people, as well as the greatest expression of the interculturality and diversity that the entity possesses.

“For the second time we are presenting Artistic and Cultural Expressions, to give fair recognition to each and every one of the delegations that applied to participate in the Lunes del Cerro and that for minor reasons were not invited,” he said.

Trinidad de las Huertas participated in the mestizo culture; Santa Catarina Cuixtla, San Pedro Ixtlahuaca and Santa Ana Zegache in the Zapotec culture; Asunción Nochixtlán in the Mixtec culture; and Collantes in the Afro-Mexican culture.
