The head of the UCR-Cambio Federal senators bloc, Augustin Maspoligave the thumbs up to the Buenos Aires government after announcing that it will create an inter-ministerial table to combat child gambling addiction, and asked that its project that seeks to restrict young people’s access to online betting sites be discussed.

“We celebrate that the governor (Axel Kicillof) put limits on online gambling, now we have to move forward with a macro law to protect minors,” said the legislator at a press conference, and assured: “Our greatest concern is for minors.”

For its part, the Province will focus on obtaining measures through biometric data, blocking of pages in schools and reporting influencers who promote illegal online gambling sites.

Máspoli’s request for support has to do with a bill that he is promoting together with the senator Lorena Mandagaranto generate more controls and awareness campaigns for young people, parents and teachers in Buenos Aires, with the aim of preventing the spread of childhood gambling addiction.
