The Attorney General’s Office has filed an indictment against Armando Luis Angulo Paternina, who is accused of writing and disseminating dishonorable messages on a social network addressed to the Vice President of the Republic, Francia Elena Márquez Mina.

According to the evidence collected, on May 9, September 12, and November 26, 2023, Angulo Paternina allegedly used his personal account to publish comments that attacked the personal integrity of the vice president and violated her right not to be discriminated against on racial grounds. These events occurred while the accused was residing in Medellín, Antioquia.

Following the guidelines of Law 1826 of 2017, which regulates the Abbreviated Special Criminal Procedure, a prosecutor from the Specialized Directorate against Human Rights Violations has accused Angulo Paternina of the crime of acts of discrimination. The defendant has not accepted the charges.
