Silvana Diedrich and Marina Bosco Demarchi are two friends who decided to make the dream of a friend who is no longer with them come true. In 2023, they created ‘Mujeres Tierra Adentro’. They define it as a creative and self-managed space with a social purpose. The starting point is outdoor walks, in contact with nature, but the goal is broader.

Today it is made up of women from various towns, of different ages, and professions. It has become a great network for sharing, exchanging knowledge, experiences, and even doing business. All “without any pressure or conditions, just wanting to share,” Silvana describes.

Like every project, in this case there is a story and it arose from a mutual friend of both (Euge), whose dream was for women to have a space where they could talk, outside of their daily lives. That friend passed away and Silvana and Marina decided to make that dream come true.

«The idea was born as a tribute to our friend, and the first objective was to create a space for women to meet in nature, a time of self-care that would contribute to health and well-being. And we invited a few friends to participate in a first walk in the mountains. But then we saw that this small group was growing, the proposal was circulated by word of mouth and we opened it up, to build something larger. So it grew more and more and our objectives as a collective were better defined: to create ties between women, who can exchange knowledge, know-how, experiences, from a social, environmental perspective, from self-care and health. That we can unite and self-manage,» Marina said.

Silvana said that she also has an intergenerational perspective since there are women of all ages: young, adult.

They started in 2023 and made around one walk per month to Profundidad, Santa Ana, La Granja La Lechuza, San Ignacio, among other places.

This year they met at the Cascada and the Posadas Botanical Garden to share experiences. They also went on a trip to the Campo San Juan nature reserve, and they are planning a trip to the Martínez Crovetto Provincial Park in August.

“The system is very simple: once a month, and sometimes every two months, the group is offered a hike to a natural space in Misiones. Those who want to go sign up and in this way we organize the cars to share expenses and go all together,” the friends explained.

The outings are usually on Sunday mornings and generally end the walk sharing a picnic outdoors.

The group is open so that anyone who wants to share their ideas, projects, or simply spend some time outdoors can join.

You can contact them through the Mujeres Tierra Adentro Instagram account and join the WhatsApp group.
