This happened because, according to the Comptroller’s Office, the contractor did not comply with what was agreed in the agreement, as did the supervisors and officials, who did not have the opportunity to take action on the matter. This led to an impact on the holding of intercollegiate games for the period of last year.

The agreement was reached within the framework of the inter-administrative agreement COID 916-2023which they had signed from Sopó with the Ministry of Sport. “The situation relates to amounts of works paid for without having been executed, for the contracts derived from the inter-administrative agreements 916, 922 and 937 of 2023, signed by the Ministry of Sport and the municipalities of Sopó, Bahía Solano and Consacá respectively,” they explained on Tuesday.

For this particular case, The audit revealed that there was a violation of the supervisory duties“which generates a decrease in the resources available for the project, as well as distrust on the part of the community of the aforementioned municipalities, regarding the use of public resources.
