Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Jul 9 (EFE).- The Canary Islands Volcanological Institute (Involcan) signed a general action protocol with the Casa África consortium on Tuesday to collaborate in the organization of activities related to the continent in science, training, digitalization, innovation and information. This was announced by the president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, after signing the agreement with José Segura, general director of Casa África, and the director of Involcan, Nemesio Pérez, who together have delved into the need for this protocol, lasting three years and renewable, in the promotion of projects and activities. “With the Technological and Renewable Energy Institute (ITER), and through Involcan, we have carried out a multitude of scientific cooperation works in more than a dozen African countries. And of the 54 that the continent has, 22 of them are characterized by having active volcanism,” stressed the president.
