Salou has transformed the Francesc Macià square with the installation of a ‘Roman temple’ that It is inspired by the Temple of Vesta in Tivoliwith 18 columns that aim to beautify the square and that will function as an educational resource about Salou’s Roman past.

This structure, which surrounds an electrical installation, It is strategically located at the historic confluence of the Roman roads Via Roma, Via Augusta and Camí Real, highlighting the importance of Salou as a natural port during ancient times.

The square will also be a place of recreation for the little ones, with a new children’s play area designed to encourage activity and fun in a safe environment. The inclusion of an ornamental fountain, with a head of the Goddess Venus from which water will flow, adds a water element reminiscent of the fountains of Rome, thus linking history with modern decoration.
