Foreign Minister on Russian attack on hospital in Ukraine: “It is unacceptable not to comply with the rules of war”

Murillo condemned the attack by the Colombian government, claiming that the rules of war were not being respected.

“It is unacceptable that the laws of war are not complied with, there are rules of international law and International Humanitarian Law that any state must comply with, we have been blunt and forceful in that regard,” said Murillo.

These incidents are part of a worrying pattern of systematic attacks on health centres and other civilian infrastructure in Ukraine“said Joyce Msuya, acting UN under-secretary for humanitarian affairs.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said 38 people were killed, including four children, and 190 were injured during the attacks with 40 missiles that targeted several towns and cities.

The capital Ukrainians are in mourning on Tuesday following Russian bombings that destroyed the country’s largest pediatric hospital, with a toll that threatens to increase as the rubble is cleared.
