The current government of Sergio Salomón, through the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), held a ceremony in memory of “Dana”, a canine specimen, a Labrador retriever breed, assigned to the Search and Rescue Unit of the State Fire Police.

For nine years, “Dana” served with honor, loyalty and courage in the search and rescue of living people, participating in various actions together with personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office, the Commission for the Search for Persons, as well as in drills and work following earthquakes, explosions, landslides and mudslides.

In terms of proximity, “Dana” attended educational institutions, institutional events, commemorative parades, as well as public events to interact with children and adults.

The remains of “Dana,” who died at the age of 10 (due to illnesses derived from her age), will remain at the facilities of the Central Station of the Heroic Fire Department, located in San Baltazar Campeche, in the municipality of Puebla.
