The capital authorities reported that to date there have been five generations of the Diploma in Police Action and Attention to Victims with a Gender Perspective with 401 graduates.

To formalize and enhance the gender training work For police officers, the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and the Secretariat of Women (Semujeres) signed a specific agreement to implement the Diploma in Police Action and Victim Care from a Gender Perspective at least once a year, which has been organized since 2021.

In a statement, the Secretary of Citizen Security, Pablo Vázquez Camacho, said that the training in gender equality in the police is a necessity for the construction of a more inclusive and respectful.

“This agreement represents a firm commitment to address the inequalities and challenges that women encounter daily in our environment. Training with gender perspective will strengthen the capacity to respond appropriately to the situations of violence against women“, accurate.

The Undersecretary of Institutional Development, Marcela Figueroa Franco, pointed out that this agreement establishes the continuity of the Diploma in the police sector, with attention to victims with gender perspective.

“In this way, both institutions commit to teach at least once a year an edition of this diploma that to date has already been taught by five generations. 401 police graduates, men and women graduates of this diploma, which began three years ago,” he mentioned.
