Ukrainian Defence Forces deny capture of Yasnobrodivka by Russian troops

The information from the Russian Ministry of Defense about the capture of the village of Yasnobrodivka in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region is not true: the village is under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

This was stated by Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia strategic and operational group of troops, in a comment given to Ukrinform.

“The day before, the Russian command reported that the Russian occupation army had supposedly taken control of the village of Yasnobrodivka and improved its tactical position. This is another Russian lie. The Defence Forces control the situation near this village,” he said.

Voloshyn said enemy losses in that sector alone amounted to 99 occupants killed and another 175 wounded during the past day.

“Two cannons, one mortar and eight motor vehicles were also destroyed. Two 2A65 Msta-B howitzers, two 120mm mortars, one armoured combat vehicle and two vehicles were damaged,” the spokesman added.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian military’s combat losses in Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to July 10, 2024 amount to almost 554,510 invaders, including 1,100 soldiers killed or wounded in combat the previous day.
