The Secretaries of Public Security of Hidalgo (SSPH) and the State of Mexico, Salvador Cruz Neri and Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo, signed a strategy for the interconnection of their intelligence centers, and to collaborate in the exchange of information between both entities.

It was noted that the objective of such planning will contribute to the arrest of criminal groups that intermittently operate in border areas, such as the areas connected by the Mexico-Pachuca highway.

Both Secretaries of Security stressed that they intend to reduce criminal activity by dismantling groups dedicated to highway robbery and extortion, which have already been identified.

An intelligence table will be formed weekly between the heads of the Control, Command, Communications, Computing Centers (C5), Israel Zaragoza Rico and Víctor Cisneros Díaz of Hidalgo and the State of Mexico, respectively.

The head of SSPH, Salvador Cruz Neri, explained that the coordination will add operational and technological force, while the federal Undersecretary of Public Security, Luis Rodríguez Bucio, asserted that this collaboration represents a step forward in preventing the criminal phenomenon.

At the meeting, it was announced that one of the subjects involved in the murder of a young man had been arrested. This occurred on June 28 when he was traveling on the Mexico-Pachuca highway, near the town of Ojo de Agua.
