The wait is over! After a peculiar promotional campaign, Paramount Pictures revealed from space the advance of Transformers One (Transformers One). This seventh film in the popular franchise inspired by the toys of Hasbro It will consist of an animated feature film whose events will be set years before those of the live-action saga.
The preview presented this morning confirms that this film will be a prequel focused on the origins of some young people Megatron and Optimus Prime, characters who had been friends, before ending up on rival sides of the battlefield. Due to the scale of the story and its locations, the franchise’s producer, Lorenzo di Bonaventurahad warned that, on this occasion, it was “economically impossible” to adapt this story arc into a live-action format.
The executive also hinted at a broader narrative plan, imagining Transformers One as the beginning of a possible trilogy focused on the complex dynamics between the main characters. “We hope it has enough emotional charge to give rise to a trilogy because, personally, I think there is a natural trilogy”he confessed.
Transformers One has the address of Josh CooleyOscar-winning filmmaker for toy story 4 (2019). Cooley He also wrote the script for Intensely (Inside Out) from 2015 and worked as a storyboard artist on other films by Pixaras cars (2006), Ratatouille (2007) and Up (2009).
In its original language, the voice cast features a stellar cast that includes the actors Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry and Scarlett Johansson as Optimus Prime, Megatron and Elita, respectively. The equipment is completed with Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee, Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime and Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion.
Transformers One will hit theaters in September 2024.
