What does this photo tell us?
In Captain America: Brave New World, Sam Wilson is ready for battle, dressed in his trademark suit, in what appears to be a military strategy room. As for the actress Xosha Roquemorehas previously been rumored to take on the role of Leila Taylor. This figure, presented in 1971 and conceived by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., was Sam Wilson’s romantic partner, but we lost track of him in the early 2000s.
In the Marvel comics, Leila represented a journalist who fought for equal rights and eventually found her place at The Daily Bugle (the newspaper where Spider-Man works). In this new adaptation, she gives the impression that she could be linked to the CIA or be a Secret Service agent, the latter option being more coherent given the relationship of President Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross (Harrison Ford) in Captain America: Brave New World. It’s not yet clear if this incarnation of the character will play a romantic role, as there has previously been speculation about a possible connection between Sam and Diamondback (Rosa Salazar).
