The actor has been playing Bucky Barnes in the franchise for 13 years and continues: on April 30 he premieres ‘Thunderbolts*’, the next chapter of the studio’s Phase 5
The actors and actresses with whom the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been saying goodbye, little by little, to the famous franchise and, after Avengers: Endgamethe MCU has opened the door to new faces. However, there are still some performers from the first installments of the UCM who are still active a decade later.
Sebastian Stan is one of them. The actor, who debuted at Marvel 13 years ago in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), premieres the April 30 Thunderbolts*. The new chapter of the Phase 5 of the UCM is directed by Jake Schreier and features Florence Pugh in its cast as Yelena Belova/Black WidowDavid Harbor as Alexei Shsotakov/Red GuardianWyatt Russell como John Walker/U.S. AgentOlga Kurylenko como Antonia Dreykov/TaskmasterHannah John-Kamen como Ava Starr/GhostLewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Stan, of course, comes back as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier.
Thunderbolts* It comes when the MCU is not going through its best moment. In the past, each installment was a guaranteed success in theaters, but things are no longer so clear. Given this paradigm shift and the criticism that the study is receiving, Stan has come to the defense of Marvel.

“I have never been part of a company that puts so much heart and thought into something”has declared in GQ. “I think if Marvel wasn’t there, there would be a big hole to try to fill. Don’t shit yourself without offering something in return.”
MORE THAN A DECADE IN MARVEL
After debuting as Bucky Barnes in Captain America: The First AvengerStan came back in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014). Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) y Avengers: Endgame (2019) are the other films in which the character has appeared. The actor has also starred in the Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021).
Thunderbolts* It’s something like the Suicide Squad from Marvel. The story follows a group of antiheroes who are sent on missions. Stan hopes that this project is not his last and that he can share the screen with Robert Downey Jr. in a future film from the studio.
