After months of searching for a guitarist for the tour, The Smashing Pumpkins have confirmed that Kiki Wong is the one selected to accompany them on a tour that will pass through dozens of cities, such as London, Paris or Berlin, and even with two stops in our country: Madrid and Barcelona. As the group member has stated Billy Corgan on the outcome of the casting: “First of all, I really want to thank everyone who submitted materials for consideration. It has not been an easy decision due to the great guitar playing we have been lucky enough to hear over these months. I “I was already a fan of Kiki’s before she auditioned and it’s great to have someone with her insight join our family on tour…”
On the other hand, Kiki Wong has responded to the announcement by sharing a post on her Instagram profile thanking her for having been selected among so many people and for being able to have the honor of playing with one of the most influential rock groups of the nineties.
