TWICE’s Ha Seok Jin and Dahyun will star in a new movie together!
On May 2, Sports DongA reported that Dahyun had received an offer to star in the independent feature film “Sprint” (literal title). In response to the reports, a source from JYP Entertainment confirmed: “She has been chosen for the project, and she is preparing for filming.”
“Sprint” is a heartwarming sports film directed by director Lee Seung Hoon that tells the story of those who run tirelessly with impossible dreams in their hearts. The film will resonate with viewers through the narrative of a person who regrets the past due to continuous failures while looking back and realizing the value of it.
Ha Seok Jin has been confirmed to play Kang Goo Young, an athlete who broke the Korean record in the 100 meter dash for the first time in 30 years. However, contrary to great expectations, 10 years pass and he is approaching the end of his heyday, he no longer finds running interesting and regrets the path he has taken in life. The character of Kang Goo Young is based on athlete Kim Kuk Young, who won the bronze medal for the first time in 37 years in the 400 meter relay.
OSEN further reported that Lee Shin Young will also star in the film. According to the report, Lee Shin Young will play the passionate speedster Seung Yeol. Although he once dreamed of being a soccer player, he somehow ends up on the track, finding happiness there and sprinting forward.
