Guns N’Roses took the world by surprise with his appearance and on July 21, 1987 he released Appetite for Destructiontheir acclaimed debut album that included anthems like “It’s So Easy,” “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City.”

In the following years, the hard rock group led by Axl Rose confirmed its position as one of the biggest names in the industry with G N’ R Lies and those remembered Use Your Illusion I and II. However, although at first everything was rosy, as time went by, egos began to flourish and disputes began.

After a few years of glory, all the members except Rose ended up stepping aside and reuniting much later. Of course, the fact that Slash, Duff mckagan and company leaving the band saddened fans, including ozzy Osbournewho was deeply upset by the situation.

Far Out Magazine recalls that the reason for his anger was because he believed that his colleagues had lost an unparalleled opportunity to achieve greatness:

“The thing that’s always bothered me about the guys in Guns N’ Roses, and I say this to Slash all the time: ‘Guys, do you realize what you did?’ They will never understand. You could have been the next Rolling Stones, the next superband.”
