There is good news for fans of Paul MCCARTNEYsince the musician announced the official release of One Hand Clapping: a disk wings formed by live recordings from the time of Band on the Runcarried out in the former EMI studies.

The album, known as one of the most pirated recordings of all time, will be released this June 14 in various formats.

This release, which was originally recorded for a documentary about McCartney & Wings that never came out, will feature songs from throughout Paul’s catalog at the time, including Beatles songs like “Lady Madonna,” “The Long and Winding Road,” and “ Let It Be.”

In 2014, McCartney spoke about this material and said (via Rolling Stone):

“It was made by a friend of mine, David Litchfield; he produced a small magazine that was very modern [Ritz]. We decided that he would record a very simple piece on video. We would just go into Abbey Road and play basically what we had rehearsed. So we went in there and it was filmed very simply, with the most basic, and I think the charm of it now is that it’s unpretentious. It is what it is”.

Although half of One Hand Clapping was published in 2010 as part of the archival reissue of Band on the Runthe new live LP will feature never-before-released audio, including this version of the single “Hi, Hi, Hi” which you can listen to below.
